KYSA YOUTH SPORT TRAINNING

PURPOSE FOR EACH OF THE TRAINING:-

IMPROVE EACH INDIVIDUAL PLAYER TECHNICALLY, TACTICALLY, PHYSICALLY, AND MENTALLY.

The YOUTH of Nairobi and its environs have numerous talents and potentials, which could be harnessed for their better future, and produce future stars of THE MARIGA’s & OLIECH’s of Kenya. To help them nurture these talents and aspirations to near full potential, Sports will play a crucial role.  It is envisaged in the spirit of promoting the youth to live positively instead of engaging in criminal and other dangerous activities – drug abuse, premarital sex, among others. For a along time the youth, Have remained idle and inactive. Gangland modes of behavior threaten to infiltrate the students and completely change the peaceful way of doing things. Upon this realization, it is intended to strengthen the capacities of the students and to shape their destiny and put in place measures that will create increased awareness on matters concerning them through sporting activities. These issues include public health and environmental management.

One of the initial steps towards this project is the soccer talent search, seminars and workshops to assess the response among the targeted YOUTH, for example, about 10% (200 students in the area and environs) of the YOUTH population will take part in the soccer talents search as participants and another 20% (300 YOUTH) will be present to cheer the fellow YOUTH, the Festival shall last up to 10 days after schools have closed at the end of November (from the closing date). I intend to also hold a basketball, volleyball, netball and swimming sessions to attract a big scope of participants.

Each exercise in this training is formation based, that is, the exercises can be used to improve: player movement on and off the ball, pass selection, vision, shooting, possession, passing technique and ball distribution, among others technical and tactical aspects of the game, using a positional, progressive and directional training exercises. “My obsession with perfecting details–that is, reducing mistakes and eliminating sloppiness has applied to teaching players, individually and as a unit, the hundreds of specific interrelated movements required for correct passing, pivoting, dribbling, screening, shooting, blocking, receiving, and more. The formula I used to teach this is uncomplicated: explanation, demonstration, imitation correction, when necessary and then repetition, repetition, repetition, and more repetition.”.Continue reading
